Citizens Bank has been relaunched as Vancity Community Investment Bank, with an enhanced role providing lending and advisory services to impact businesses, social enterprises and not-for-profit organizations, starting in the Greater Toronto Area.

If you are a Citizens Bank Visa* cardholder, you will not be affected by this change. You can continue to use your Citizens Bank Visa credit card, reloadable card, or prepaid corporate reward card as usual.

For Citizens Bank Visa credit cardholders

Will the terms and conditions of my Citizens Bank Visa card change?

The terms and conditions of your Visa card will not change as a result of this transition. Over time, you will notice the new name and logo on your statements, and on myvisarewardsplus.com

Will I be able to use my Citizens Bank Visa card to make purchases?

Yes, you will be able to use your Citizens Bank Visa to make purchases as usual.

Will I still be able to earn and redeem My Visa Rewards Plus points?

If you were previously able to earn My Visa Rewards Plus points, you will still be able to earn and redeem reward points after the change.

Will I still be able to book travel through myvisarewardsplus.com?

Yes, you will still be able to book travel through myvisarewardsplus.com.

What happens when my Citizens Bank Visa card expires? Will I receive a replacement card from Vancity Community Investment Bank?

Cardholders will receive replacement cards with the Vancity Community Investment Bank logo starting in Spring 2018. Replacement cards sent out before then will still have the Citizens Bank logo on them.

Can I continue to use my Shared Interest™ Visa card?

You can continue to use your Shared Interest Visa card to make purchases.

Each year, 10 cents for every Shared Interest Visa card transaction is donated to the Shared Interest Fund™ to affect positive social and environmental change.

Every time you use your Oxfam Visa card, we will donate 10 cents to Oxfam Canada.

Every time you use your Amnesty Visa card, we will donate 10 cents to Amnesty International.

For Citizens Bank reloadable cardholders

Will the terms and conditions of my Citizens Bank reloadable card change?

The terms and conditions of your reloadable Visa card will not change as a result of this transition.

Will I be able to use my Citizens Bank reloadable card to make purchases?

You will be able to use your reloadable Visa card to make purchases as usual.

Will I still be able to add funds to my reloadable card?

You will be able to add funds to the card as usual.

If you are a Citizens Bank Reloadable Visa cardholder and you load your card via electronic bill payment, the registered payee name will change from ‘Citizens Bank Reloadable Visa’ to ‘Vancity Reloadable Visa’. This change will not happen right away.

Will I still be able to view my balance and transaction history when I log into myreloadable.ca?

You will still be able to view your balance and transaction history when you log into myreloadable.ca. Over time, you will notice the new name and logo when you visit myrewardcard.ca. This change will not happen right away.

What happens when my Citizens Bank reloadable Visa card expires? Will I receive a replacement reloadable card from Vancity Community Investment Bank?

You will receive a replacement card mailed to the address we have on file prior to the expiry of your existing card if your card account is in good standing and has a positive balance one month before the expiry date. The card you will receive will likely have a different design.

For Citizens Bank corporate reward cardholders

Do the terms and conditions of my prepaid corporate reward Visa card change?

The terms and conditions of your prepaid corporate reward Visa card will not change as a result of this transition. The only change you may notice is a new name and logo when you visit myrewardcard.ca. This change will not happen right away.

Will I still be able to use my prepaid Visa card to make purchases?

You will be able to use your prepaid Visa card to make purchases as usual, until the value of the card is used up or the card expires.
